Communication with Matrox Iris GTR

Matrox Iris GTR has an Advanced I/O Engine. Your Matrox Iris GTR has 4 auxiliary input signals, 1 rotary decoder, 1 I/O command list (with 2 latches), 8 timers, and 3 auxiliary output signals. For more information, see the Matrox Advanced I/O Engine section in Chapter 40: IO steps.

Matrox Iris GTR supports: EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and Modbus/TCP and Modbus/RTU. Note that, for the serial modes (for example, Modbus/RTU), Matrox Iris GTR does not have a built-in serial port; a USB-to-serial adapter must be installed.

To support the PROFINET industrial communication protocol, Matrox Iris GTR has a PROFINET Engine that provides a hardware-assisted interface for the PROFINET protocol.
