Procedure for using the RobotWriter step


The RobotWriter step sends position and other data to the robot controller.

The following provides a basic methodology for using the RobotWriter step:

  1. Specify the robot controller to send data to using the Robot text box.

    If necessary, ensure that the robot controller you specified is configured correctly using the Configure Robots button next to the Robot text box. This button will open the Platform Configuration dialog on the Robots screen, which allows you to set information such as the IP address of the robot controller and the type of robot controller you are using.

  2. Specify the position data to send to the robot controller with the X, Y, Z, Pitch, Roll, and Yaw text boxes. Note that you can populate these text boxes dynamically by clicking on the triangle next to the text box.   3. Optionally, specify the Status property. The default value is Success.
