Our Video Products Group is a technology and market leader in the field of digital video hardware and software. Our technology is at the heart of industry leading companies creating solutions such as ingest/playout servers, broadcast graphic systems, contribution/distribution encoders and channel in a box solutions. Some of our current products include: XMIO3 family, DSX LE4 and M264.


RESPONSABILITIES:


Based out of Dorval, Quebec, and reporting to the Director of Sales (Americas), your mission will be to acquire product knowledge by working closely with the applications engineering team supporting OEM customers.

The intern will gain product knowledge specifically by:

  • Assisting application engineers with system setup, bug reproduction and workflow testing procedures
  • Assisting to provide programming level support to our OEM clients using our DSX SDK
  • Performing system validation and benchmarking for new computer systems and our hardware and software
  • Developing software sample applications to demonstrate the capabilities of the Matrox development platform
  • Providing SDK and product training for OEM developers
  • Interfacing directly with customers, engineering, product and project management on product requirements, deployment and technical issues;

In parallel, you will work closely with the Director of Sales (Americas) acquiring OEM market and customer knowledge by calling on OEM potential customers who are looking to transition from SDI to 2110. Travel may be required.The intern will gain knowledge in all phases of OEM account sales:

Good Potential(GP)

  • The intern will learn how to research broadcast manufacturers which are good potentials of our technology.Understanding how our technology (s/w and h/w) can add value to the GP's product portfolio will be important.

Design In (DI)

  • In this phase of the OEM sales process, the intern will learn the importance of communicating why and how the Matrox technology can add value to the GP. The intern will learn how to qualify and close a GP, and acquire a commitment from the GP to invest financially in development gear and resources to develop and establish an OEM relationship with Matrox.

PO (Production/Ordering)

  • In this phase of the OEM sales process, the intern will learn how to service OEM customers in production.This will include maintain and assist in existing accounts, working with the applications engineering team to ensure customer requirements and questions are addressed.

  • Strong knowledge of PC hardware and software environments
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple manner
  • Strong business decision-making
  • Strong interpersonal skills coupled with an outgoing personality
  • Self-motivated, proactive and creative problem solver
  • Capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks under pressure
  • Ability to prospect new customers
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, functional in French.Knowledge of an additional language such as Spanish would be an asset.
  • Experience in technical B2B sales is considered an asset
  • The candidate must like to work in a dynamic, team spirited environment
